Spooky VEGAN Halloween Treats, Tips, And Tricks

Today we the Vegan Vampires (formerly known as Dillon & Reebs) bring you a Vegan Halloween Feast! Before reading this post we have one request: please read the entire post in your best Slavic/Vampire accent. Muahahahahaha!!!

There are so many treats you can eat as a vampire (or a human) that are delicious and vegan (and oh so spooky). Don’t let the scary appearance of these dishes fool you; no animals (or humans) were hurt in the making of this Halloween Feast!

Behold! Our best tricks, treats, and Halloween hacks to make your next Halloween party the spookiest and ookiest one yet…

Clementine Pumpkins

Anything can be a pumpkin! Peel the skin off your clementines and stab them in the heart (or top) with a piece of green bean to make the sweetest, juiciest little pumpkin treats you’ve ever tasted. They’re easy, adorable, and healthy! If you have little “gargoyles” running around; this is a great one to get their help with.

Bloodshot Potato Eyeballs

Boil your *poison* red potatoes until tender and let them cool completely. Cut the potatoes in half and spread a little hummus in the center of each half. Place pimento-stuffed olive slices in the center, then drizzle with some sriracha for the creepiest potato bites you can imagine.

Witches Carrot Fingers

We imagine that witches have the nastiest hands complete with fungus-filled fingernails. Make these yucky witch fingers by cutting carrots into long finger-length pieces. Spread some Curried Peas Dip or guacamole on the ends and top with an almond slice to mimic the nail. Your guests will know it had been at least a century since that witch’s last manicure!

Yogurt Spider Web

Fill a ziploc sandwich bag with plain, unsweetened non-dairy yogurt. Snip off a corner of the bag to squeeze the yogurt through. Pipe a spider web shape on top of your favorite black bean dip and don’t forget to decorate it with some spooky plastic spiders!

Scary Tortilla Chips

Pull out your creepiest cookie cutters and use them to cut through a stack of tortillas. Lay the fun shapes on a baking grid sheet and bake in the oven on 350º until they’re crispy (about 14 minutes). Serve with your Spider Web Bean Dip!

Pukey Pumpkin Display

Well your world
Well your world

Get a small sugar pie pumpkin and just like a jack-o-lantern, cut off the top and scoop out the seeds. Then, cut a large hole to mimic an open mouth. Draw some distressed on the pumpkin with a Sharpie marker. Arrange the carved pumpkin on a serving tray and spoon in Curried Peas Dip (full recipe from Episode 56 of the Well Your World Weekend Cooking Show). Arrange some scary tortilla chips around the dip for an impressive, if not somewhat disgusting, Halloween display.

Franken-Toast

Start by toasting some whole grain bread and spreading some smashed avocado on top to make a basic Avocado Toast. Then, cut a nori sheet in a zig-zag pattern; this will be Frank’s hair. Slice some black olives to for his eyes. Finally, top it with a slice of red bell pepper for his mouth.

Skeleton Guts Display

Take a plastic skeleton from the dollar store and cut it in half. Arrange the halves on either end of a baking dish and fill the dish with your favorite chili. It’ll look like your poor skeleton is in a Jacuzzi tub filled with his own guts. Ewww!

Green Apple Goblin Mouths

Slice a green apple on both sides, avoiding the core. Discard the core and cut each slice in half. Remove a sliver in the middle of each quarter; this will be the “mouth”. Smear some oopy-goopy peanut butter on the inside and add pinenuts to imitate the teeth.

We hope you enjoy scaring your guests with these simple, healthy, delicious, and of course SPOOKY Halloween party foods. Happy Haunting!
