Method
In a medium saucepan sauté the onion and garlic for 3-4 minutes over medium high heat, adding a bit of water along the way to keep from sticking.
Add the remaining ingredients except the chickpeas, along with another splash of water if needed, Stir everything together and continue cooking for a few minutes.
Mix in the the chickpeas and simmer for a few minutes. Remove from heat.
Enjoy these chickpeas on their own or serve with roasted veggies, brown rice, and avocado!
